The Brief
A single sculptural anchor for the entrance gallery of a newly completed waterfront villa.
The Process
The architect's brief was three sentences: 'The entrance is 8 meters long, 4 meters wide, with 6 meters of ceiling height. The walls are white limestone. We need one piece that justifies the space.' We spent two weeks selecting the exact block from the Carrara quarry via video call with the quarrymaster. The piece was installed in March 2025.
